How to use Covid capsules
From the beginning, patients have been treated according to the symptoms as there is no recognized antidote for coronavirus. That void has been filled since the discovery of Covid's oral medicine. Covid capsules called 'Malnupiravir' have arrived in the market.
Malnupiravi capsules / tablets were originally designed to treat the flu. Patients at risk for coronavirus treatment are advised to take this medicine twice a day. Clinical trials of the drug have been conducted in 17 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, and Germany. Clinical trials have shown that the drug halves the risk of hospitalization and death in patients. This is the first coronavirus drug to be taken orally without intravenous administration.
Mark Sharp & Dome (MSD) in the United States and Reesebuck Biotherapeutics jointly developed this drug for the treatment of corona. After receiving approval from the United Kingdom, the Department of Drug Administration of Bangladesh has also given permission to use this capsule. Several pharmaceutical companies have introduced generic versions of Malnupiravir in the country's market.
Efficacy
Malnupiravi protects patients with mild to moderate symptoms from coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and other comorbidities.
Clinical trials have shown that these capsules reduce the risk of hospitalized or critically ill covid patients by 50 percent.
These antiviral capsules are more effective after the onset of corona symptoms. For this reason, it is recommended to take it within five days of the onset of symptoms.
Although Covid patients are relieved of this serious condition, this oral medication is by no means a substitute for the Covid vaccine. Corona must be vaccinated as a preventive measure.
